Music City Academy

Music City Academy is dedicated to excellent performing standards. We present student recitals in spring and fall and encourage students to take ABRSM Exams. Through recitals, we encourage students to learn discipline and musicianship from memorizing, preparation and onstage performance.

Studio Rental

Conveniently located on Irving Street (between 20th and 21st Avenue) in the Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco, Music City Academy has spacious and airy studios/recital room available for private practice or jamming.

Most affordable rental rates:
a. Studios equipped with piano and space for 4 musicians at just $10 per hour.
b. Recital room with baby grand piano on raised platform/stage with possible audience seating of 40 for just $15 per hour and up, depending on usage.  Use for recital will be at $35 per hour.
c. There is a minimum rental period of one hour.

Please call 415-681-8330 for an appointment to visit the studio/recital room.   Please note that we are closed on Thursdays and are open on weekdays from 2pm to early evening, as well as on Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons.

Rates

Unless otherwise specified at the time of registration, the rates for various music lessons listed below are payable monthly in advance and due on the first lesson of the month. Credit or make-up lesson for missed lessons will only be arranged if at least 24 hours notice is received by Music City Academy. There will be no credit or make-up lessons for children's choir or group lessons for missing lessons as these are group activities and the rates based on group participation.

One on One Instrumental/Voice/Theory Lessons

60 minutes $42

A higher rate will apply for new advanced level students (e.g. ABRSM Grade 6 or above.)    

Children's Singing Group (45 minutes per session with minimum 4 students)
Our children's singing group has started again after the 2010 Fall Recital.  They meet on Sundays from 11 to 11:45am.  Participants will learn to sing folk songs, music theatre numbers and Christmas carols.  The monthly tuition fee is based on $10 per session payable in advance before the first session of the month.  Credit will only be given for missed sessions if at least 24 hours advance notice is given.  There is a  one-time registration fee  of $25 for new students.
